IRIS will foster a comprehensive post-doctoral program reaching all scientific domains. To improve the researcher’s career, ULB strongly encourages the participation of the fellows in inter-sectoral training. The vast majority of the supervisors in ULB and VUB have already developed a well-established network of academic and non-academic collaborators, and this will be the starting point to identify potential secondment opportunities. Furthermore, ULB has established long-standing collaboration with Brussels regional partners. To reinforce this strategy, ULB has secured the interest and/or support of major stakeholders in the Belgian and European non-academic context that have committed and/or are poised to commit to act as intermediary and assist the fellow and the supervisor in identifying the appropriate actors for a secondment.
